I Left My Heart in San Francisco (Part 1/5)

It is so hard to adjust back to normal life after an amazing vacation like we just had.  Dillon, Auumn, and I spent five glorious days in San Francisco last week.  It was such a fun vacation.  We were able to do so much.  I'm kind of obsessive about planning vacations.  I love planning and organizing.  We decided not to rent a car, but instead we took public transportation around the city.  It was definitely an adventure with the baby, but it worked out great.  She was a trooper and took naps on the go.  I took an infinite number of pictures on this trip so I'll split it up into several blog posts so you won't be overwhelmed by the sheer awesomeness of it all.

We started early in the morning flying out of Vegas at 6:30am.  We wanted to get there early so that we could have a full day when we got there.  We sure were exhausted though.  Waking up at 3:00am with no real hope of an afternoon nap isn't the best idea.  Autumn was great on the airplane.  She slept most of the way and hardly made a peep.

We rode the train from the airport into the city and checked into our hotel, The Chancellor.

We loved the hotel we stayed in.  They had amazing service and the location was fantastic.  The trolley ran right in front.  Plus the room had a gigantic closet that fit Autumn's portable crib in it so she had her own little nursery and we still managed some privacy.  I don't know if she loved it much though.

After checking in we took the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge and then over to the Golden Gate Park where we perused the California Academy of Sciences.  It was such a cool place to visit.  One thing I love about Dillon is how curious he is.  He still acts like a little kid in a candy shop when it comes to animals and cool exhibits like they had there.  It was cute to watch him and Autumn.

Dillon's new favorite friend:

It was a great first day, but we were exhausted by the end.  We came back to the hotel and CRASHED!
